Telling the Story of the Kingdom of God

Telling the Story of the Kingdom of God

Presented by: Moises & Talsy Vega

Workshop description:

As we investigate Jesus’ model of communicating with others, we see that it was based on telling stories to people to make known the Kingdom of God.  In this workshop we will follow the same patterns choosing biblical stories that are read and based in questions, which is the key for creating interaction allowing the Holy Spirit to flow and teach all of us what God wants for each.  Story telling creates an informal environment being an effective tool for small groups whether the people know how to read or not.  We will explore 1) crafting the stories from the Bible and 2) reading them directly from the Bible.  In addition, we will investigate 6 questions to help the story take root in the listeners.  We have found this to be a very effective tool for expanding the Kingdom of God.

Time: Friday 2 to 4 p.m.
