Christian Women’s Job Corps® and You - Changing Lives One Woman at a Time
Presented by: Elaine Dickson
Workshop description:
Come learn about how God is changing the lives of our participants and how you can serve with Christian Women’s Job Corps® of Madison County. We will provide an understanding of poverty as a lack of resources and discuss those resources so that volunteers will be better equipped to relate to those in poverty. This is an opportunity to get involved in missions on a local level. A variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your experience and schedule will be discussed.
Time: Friday 9 to 11 a.m.
Bio: Elaine graduated from Bob Jones High School and is very familiar with the needs and resources of the Madison County area. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Auburn University and graduated from Alabama A & M University with a M.S. in Clinical Psychology. Her work with the Huntsville/Madison County Mental Health Center was in the area of case management, where she gained a firsthand knowledge of those living in poverty and the obstacles they faced. She has been involved with Christian Women's Job Corps® of Madison County, Inc. since 2000. Her mission (and that of CWJC®), is to serve women who are experiencing any form of poverty and to introduce them to Jesus Christ.
