Workshop description:

A prevailing temptation in the local church is to substitute busyness for the priority of seeking the presence of Jesus.  The work of the church is kingdom work to the extent that the Body of Christ is rooted and grounded in loving communion with God.  This is the most important priority of the spiritual leadership within the church.

Time: Friday 9 to 11 a.m.

Bio: Alan Weatherly has been the Senior Pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church since 1997.  Originally from Columbia, Tennessee, Alan became a Christian while working as an electrical engineer in Washington D.C.  Alan and his wife Carla have two grown sons, Stephen and Patrick and one daughter in law, Rachel.  Alan’s passion is for renewal of the Body of Christ through a growing hunger for the Lord in prayer and worship.  This renewal will result in God mobilizing a new generation to evangelize the world.
